Google releases browser

Published Tuesday, September 02, 2008 in Other

Google Chrome is Google's new browser built on the Webkit rendering-engine (same as Safari runs on) and the brand new V8 JS-engine.

It all looks very interesting and with any luck this will help get people away from IE.

Have a look at the Google Chrome comic.

I wondered how it would take the Google Fanboy to blog this news!

Looks interesting, I agree, but Google could do with practise what they preach by implementing a "Standards" compliant browser engine by publish Standards compliant code on their services.

Native Gears support could certainly be a major selling point though...

Do you find the "scroll-pagination" annoying? (If you don't know what it is, scroll to the bottom of the first-page)
